As a former Sr. Executive of organizations with life-impacting missions, Mary Heidkamp understands the pressures faced by managers for whom a high level of performance is a minimum job requirement. In motivating her staff and volunteers to achieve the organizational success, Mary developed a coaching approach to managing people that became the hallmark of her leadership style.
Mary's emergence as a coach was the natural outgrowth of her experience and her personal desire to serve. Mary has had the privilege to serve with gifted supervisors, mentors and talented staff. As a non-profit executive, she faced a wide range of challenges, overcame adversity and suffered through public and painful failure. Through reflection on the leadership experience and overcoming difficult challenges, Mary recognized it was the invaluable professional relationships that sustained her throughout her career.
Now retired from her executive career, Mary devotes herself to providing others with the kind of direct, empowering feedback that she herself received. Through her consulting and coaching, Mary can help you develop stronger relationship, become an inspirational leader or help you and your staff achieve your goals.
Dr. Mary Heidkamp engages leadership bodies through active participation to problem solving, working through conflict, building teams, or strengthening the board. She is a master diagnostician, moving clients quickly from complexity to solution. She believes that leadership is about energy, the fire within, and she inspires and motivates from that perspective.
Drawing on the experiences of eight years spent living in South Africa, Japan and India, Mary brings a cross-cultural and international perspective to the work of organizational problem solving and leadership.
